Should I take Marie Forleo’s Rich, Happy, & Hot B-School?

Screen Shot 2014-02-06 at 10.31.13 AM

This post originally appeared in 2012. It’s been edited with updated information for 2014.

I’ve had several people ask me this exact question. Yesterday I got 2 messages on Facebook at the exact same time.

I did the last round of B-School, loved it and I’m planning on going through it again this next time. Alum’s get lifetime access. There are a lot of great reasons to do B-School, but I do not think it’s for everyone.

Marie released 3 awesome training videos as part of her launch. You can see them all by clicking here.

Do you already know you want to sign up? Click here.

Listen to a very candid review I gave about the program.

I did a similar call a few years ago. You can listen to that one as well.

Do not do B School without 1:1 support

If you decide to sign up for B School and you do so through my affiliate link, I’m offering private coaching during the program. Sign up here.

You’ll get 6 coaching and accountability sessions with me concurrent with B School. The program is completely overwhelming. This will help you get the absolute most you can out of it.

My experience

It wasn’t as helpful for me as it was for some people. I had a better experience the second and third times I went through. Alums have lifetime access so I’ll definitely participate again this time around (#4).

Bottom line: I think B-School is a kick-ass comprehensive marketing course.

The info is quality. It’s easily actionable and makes sense. There is zero ick factor. If you already know a bunch about marketing it might not be for you. There is much more to it than the actual content though. The community is golden. The bonuses she lined up last time weren’t even advertised. But they were awesome.

If you know what to do but can’t seem to get it done, you may want to work with me.

I love supporting soulful entrepreneurs in the application of business building. Business building brings up your shit in a hot second. That’s why it’s almost impossible to build a business alone. I would never navigate my life without support and outside perspective. I would also never consider building my practice without support and outside perspective. Seriously.

If you know you’re a life coach/artist/something awesome but you don’t actually know more than that, you may want to work with me.

The interwebs spend so much energy talking about how to sell our wares.

But what if you don’t know what your ware is? “I’m a life coach” is not a clear ware. Get it?

I love untangling this stuff. I have a quick, intuitive commonsensical eye for this stuff. If you want to figure out what you’re up to in business, I can help. Figure that out before you figure out how to sell it.

Hi Sarah, LOVE that you are doing this…would just love a copy of the recording when you are done. My question would be : how much of the stuff is NEW at B-School? Is it for real newbie business owners and getting across those basics, have a website, be authentic, etc etc or will it help someone with an existing successful business move up a gear. I know it is an investment which I am happy to make as long as I really feel it’s new and different info. Would be so grateful for your thoughts on this! Thanks so much, you are doing a great service for the tribe!

Hey Louise. It’s for both–newbies who need the basics. And established people who want to step it up. As long as you actually have something to market i.e. you know your niche.

Are you going to take it Maureen?

Sarah – this was awesome. After meeting you in Phoenix and hearing your perspective there, I’ve been very curious to know more and not let my first impression of the program be my only impression. This was a very generous call. Thank you.

You are welcome!! Definitely don’t let your first impression be your last. I totally understand your reservations. And, like I said, the info is really quality stuff. I sure do respect you.

I love Marie. I’ve found that most people who have a stick up their ass about her have never experienced her and are making tons of assumptions. Her community is priceless. Thanks for sharing this.

Wow, yes, I concur! Thank you very much for sharing this. Of course Marie knows how to market herself and that’s the purpose of BSchool – to do just that. I guess gut feel also counts for a great deal and she, in my mind, considering that she has Danielle LaPorte promoting the crap out of her (before Danielle’s intro, I’d never heard of her) she must be the real deal. Danielle is so bloody authentic just having her promote Marie (and watching a few of Marie’s vids) really did leave me with this feeling of holy crap I have to get into this program! But, having someone whose been there, done that, really is the next best to juxtapose the overwhelming question of “should I?”. I’ve been leaning to YES YES YES; so, thank you for your honest and candor. Namaste Regan

I just heard about this today and it looks great. She certainly gets your attention in the video, so her style is worth emulating for sure!
